The vintage of 2016 was a truly special one for us. The challenging weather conditions due to late frost in April resulted in a minimal harvest that year. Therefore, we decided to select our best Pinot batches to create a single sparkling wine. Thus, the Große Reserve SOL Rosé was born. The name SOL represents the vines in their relationship to the soil, sun, and cosmos.
During its 55 months on the lees, it developed subtle power and intensity. On the nose, there are notes of grapefruit, stone, blackcurrant bush, a touch of meadow herbs, and a hint of mint. On the palate, the focus is on minerality, accompanied by salty raspberry, a fresh and vibrant trace of acidity, and a finish of wild cherry. A rosé sparkling wine as pure and unadorned as it gets. 0 grams of dosage, 0 sulfur added.
